"Dem Dry Bones"

African-American politician, author, and leader James Weldon Johnson is known for composing the lyrics to "Lift Every Voice and Sing" which became the Black national Anthem. And he also wrote a children's song inspired by the Book of Ezekiel from the Hebrew scriptures - "Dem Dry Bones"  - which connects the bones of the body from toe to head and serves as a reminder that our bodies are both sacred and ordinary. When we take time to connect past and present; mind, heart, and body; holy and profane - we move deeper into our connections with our own souls and the wider world. We'll continue to explore our monthly theme of Connection with song and story. Rev. Beth leads with Paul Weston as Worship Associate.
